What Happens at at "341 Hearing?"
After you file a Chapter 7 or a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, you will be required to attend a brief hearing called a Section 341 Meeting of Creditors. Bankruptcy professionals usually refer to this hearing as a "341 hearing."
Your 341 hearing will be held between 30 and 45 days after you file and it will last about 5 to 10 minutes. Although nothing final happens at your 341 hearing and most of the questions are fairly simple, you may be concerned about this hearing. Assuming that you have never been thorough bankruptcy before, it is perfectly understandable that you would be a little nervous. In this short video, Clark and Washington associate attorney Laura Post talks about 341 hearings. hi. i and my husband are filing a ch 7. how far back in bank statements are required for the 341 meeting? also do i mail them in or present them at the time of the meeting. and i have a concern. here it is. about 17 years ago my hisband and i bought a lot space and it had a existing sturcture . a big garage with a room. address already established was 16426,we then built a big 2 story house on the same lot space and the address of the new house is 16426 1/2. we reside in the new stucture being 16426 /2 but all our c cards and bills and banking all have the old address of 16426. the only thing with our 16426 1/2 address is the home mortgage loan and our home owners insurance. our property taxes come in the address of 16426. both sturctures are still on the same property. can you tell me if this will casue a problem at the 341 meeting thanks so much reda
